State Council: cancel the production license management of 13 kinds of industrial products such as bearing steel

According to Xinhua News Agency, the State Council recently issued the decision on adjusting the catalogue for the administration of production license of industrial products and strengthening the supervision during and after the event (hereinafter referred to as the “decision”). The CPC Central Committee and the State Council attach great importance to the reform of the industrial product production license system. According to the decision, on the basis of greatly reducing the production license of industrial products in recent years, the production license management of 13 kinds of industrial products such as bearing steel, internal combustion engine and automobile brake fluid will be cancelled again this year, and the two kinds of products, satellite TV broadcasting ground receiving equipment and radio broadcasting and television transmitting equipment, will be reduced and merged into one kind, so as to promote the development of products involving safety, health and environmental protection. The cost of certification shall be borne by the finance. After adjustment, the number of products that continue to implement license management has been reduced from 24 categories to 10 categories.

China Steel Association: China’s steel production in August was 106.39 million tons, up 9.8% year on year

Recently, China Iron and Steel Industry Association released the operation of iron and steel industry from January to August. The growth rate of output of iron and steel products is faster than that of last month, and the price of steel products is lower than that of last month. Although the price of most raw and combustion materials has declined, it is still at a high level, and the benefits of iron and steel enterprises continue to decline compared with that of last month. In August, China produced 71.17 million tons of pig iron, a year-on-year increase of 7.08%, a growth rate of 6.53 percentage points faster than last month; produced 87.25 million tons of crude steel, a year-on-year increase of 9.29%, a growth rate of 4.31 percentage points faster than last month; produced 106.39 million tons of steel, a year-on-year increase of 9.8%, a growth rate of 0.21 percentage points faster than last month.

World iron and Steel Association： global crude steel output of 157 million tons in July

According to the world iron and Steel Association, in July, the global crude steel output was 157 million tons, an increase of 1.7% year on year; China’s crude steel output, the world’s top producer and consumer, was 85.2 million tons, an increase of 5% year on year.

General Administration of Customs: in the first eight months, China imported 685 million tons of iron ore, down 3.5%, with an average import price of 644.3 yuan per ton, up 43.3%; 328 million tons of crude oil, up 9.6%, with an average import price of 3285.7 yuan per ton, down 0.1%; 220 million tons of coal, up 8.1%, with an average import price of 537.6 yuan per ton, down 6.2%; 63.04 million tons of natural gas, up 10.3%, with an average import price of 2988.4 yuan per ton, up 15.7%.

Crude steel and steel production hit a new record in May

On June 14, the data released by the National Bureau of statistics showed that in May, China’s crude steel production increased by 10% year-on-year to 89.09 million tons, once again a record high monthly production, with the previous high of 85.03 million tons in April this year. From January to may, the crude steel output was 404.88 million tons, up 10.2% year on year. In terms of monthly daily average output, in May, the daily average output of crude steel was 2.87 million tons, and the daily average output of steel was 3.465 million tons, a record high for both sides. The top two are in April this year. The daily output of crude steel and steel is 2.83 million tons and 3.4 million tons respectively.
